A constant in our journey of building Tipsy Tom has been expanding ambition, sometimes racing ahead of what is realistically possible to do in a short time. A milestone we were waiting for is finally here.
We announce v3 of TipsyTom!
This version is a radical upgrade from v2 thanks to our phenomenal team!
Not easy to build technology in this way, test it day-in and out, and deliver for several legal uses cases at the same time.
Legal, engineering and design are three different worlds, but the symphony is a sight to behold, getting me out of bed every morning.
A quick summary of how things work now
1. We are offering two models (OpenAI's 3.5 and 4) free to all users (with more models coming soon). GPT 4 drives the "Owl Mode", while GPT 3.5 drives "Falcon Mode". The logic of naming them and making them available for all features is simple - both work very well, and as you will learn, differently.
Note: Nobody else but me like the names.
2. Previously, we had locked Owl Mode behind a paywall due to its higher cost. What this meant is that free users weren't able to see the full capabilities of Tipsy Tom. Now, even those of you who wish to run an experiment on our free version can do so with non-disclosure agreements and Employment Contracts.
3. We have stopped rate limiting usage completely, or tying it into credits in plans. Usage is unlimited (outside of OpenAI's usual speed rate limits which effect everyone). Letting you experiment with AI means letting you do so as extensively as you want.
4. There is now a powerful Legal Editor that does impressively in reviewing and modifying legal clauses and drafts. A long standing demand, the Power Editor is now available for unlimited use for paid users. You can read more about how Power Editor works here. The Power Editor is a first step towards a future where drafting work is more about intelligent and less of drudgery.
5. Apart from this, we have added a number of pre-packaged Scripts to make life easier, with more being built as I write this.
Given how quickly things are developing in the world of AI, we are also always upgrading existing Scripts to work better, faster and produce higher quality results.
6. Our paid plan is now simple. At USD 49 or INR 3,999/mo or USD 499/INR 39,999 (for annual plans) per user, no limits on usage and all features and tab enabled.
We have migrated all paid users to the new system without requiring any action. Some (and not all) of our old users might need to register again, if you are unable to login.
Here is what you should do:
1. Head over to TipsyTom and check-out our new Home Page.
2. Try out all new features by taking TipsyTom for a spin.
3. If you are not a paid user, subscribe immediately. Supporting TipsyTom means (a) you will be able to use our full range of scripts; and (b) funding the development of upgrades and more features.
4. Tell us what you think about Falcons and Owls.
Future of the Law has been recognised.
AI Supremacy has named Future of the Law in their list of Top AI, Machine Learning and Data Engineering Newsletters of 2023, a list that in their words integrates “A.I., data engineering, futurism and various niches within generative A.I. including builders, analysts, dreamers and visionaries.”
While it isn’t the first time we have made it to a list, this one is special because Micheal Spencer’s hat-tip means a lot!
