In my first month as a lawyer, I was handed an ISDA to review.
I could not make any sense of it.
Google was unhelpful on very specialised technical questions. In-house knowledge was limited, it took walking down the halls of the office and disturbing overworked colleagues, few who knew anything worth sharing.
Partners super-busy, and noone to call.
Sit down with a dictionary, scour the library for titles.
No idea of the business surrounding the contract, no idea of why things are written, and even what is written.
If I were handed the same problem today, things should look very different.
I should have all the intelligence at my command.
Not only that - I should have everything presented to me in a tasteful, visually pleasing and easy to understand manner.
I should just click through and have my answers.
When I sat down to design a contract review interface, I didn't do for myself of today.
I did it for that lost in the woods lawyer who felt hopeless and overwhelmed.
I am now looking for a few volunteers to help get things to monster level.
What is on offer:
- 50 contracts you can review using the interface in 30 days.
- Workshop where we bare it all - how the app is built, how it works and what can be better.
-Contributing to the greatest contract review app ever.
